We are delighted to have collaborated with our data privacy colleagues across the Ius Laboris alliance to create the first edition of the new Workplace Data Privacy update. 

This comprehensive update explores recent developments in data protection across various countries. This edition looks at cybersecurity legislation, the use of employee images and data, disproportionate data subject access requests, a ban on facial recognition technology and a requirement for the swift deletion of employee metadata, as well as prohibitions on the collection of paper ID documents for onboarding, fines imposed on employers for losing employee data, a move to ban international data transfers based on consent and a breach involving sensitive personal data - to name but a few!
